Cadets get the chance to go above the clouds in a glider.

The Starting point for your gliding experience will be at a Volunteer Gliding School (VGS) which will fly either Vigilant motor gliders or Viking winch launch gliders.

You will begin by

attending, with others from your Squadron, your affiliated VGS to be taught the Gliding Induction Course (GIC). This course introduces you to the glider and its basic functions and the principles of flight.
